About the Program
The Master’s program in Global Change Ecology is dedicated to understanding and analyzing one of the most pressing environmental crises of the 21st century: Global Change.
Addressing challenges of this scale requires an entirely new, interdisciplinary approach to research and education. A key focus of the GCE program is combining natural science perspectives with approaches from social science disciplines. This dual focus ensures our students are fully prepared to tackle complex environmental issues from multiple dimensions—from ecological impact to environmental policy.

Global Change Ecology M.Sc. is devoted to understanding and analyzing the most important and consequential environmental concern of the 21st century; namely, Global Change. Problems of an entirely new and interdisciplinary nature require the establishment of innovative approaches in research and education. A special program focus is the linking of natural science perspectives on global change with approaches in social science disciplines.
