Today, December 3rd is Young & Future Generations Day at the #COP21 in Paris! The day was kicked-off by the Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, Christiana Figueres at the Climate Change Studio together with the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth, Mr. Ahmad Alhendawi. Those supporting this event are sporting t-shirts inspired by the Peoples Climate March in New York in 2014 “We – must, can, will, take action now!”.
Three very small children took the stage to inspire us to take action – for them. Their final message on what will happen to this Earth if we continue on the path we’re on was emphasized by blowing up three green balloons (some expanded to be as big as possible!), only to have them pop! Following this Luxembourg’s ZOOM presented Kids on the Move and how many steps they have taken for climate.
Events are planned for the entire day and we are looking forward to what comes next!

Global Change Ecology M.Sc. is devoted to understanding and analyzing the most important and consequential environmental concern of the 21st century; namely, Global Change. Problems of an entirely new and interdisciplinary nature require the establishment of innovative approaches in research and education. A special program focus is the linking of natural science perspectives on global change with approaches in social science disciplines.
